“Share Your Dreams” Volunteer Project is now launched

AVS join hands with HSBC to organize an 18-month programme “Share Your Dreams” Volunteer Project to fulfill the dreams of the vulnerable elderly doubletons and children with rare diseases with the effort of HSBC volunteers.

The Project rolled out in August 2021 for HSBC volunteers to join in three cohorts, working with different groups of beneficiaries. 12 dreams of the vulnerable elderlies from Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association (AKA) will be achieved in the first cohort. An Opening Ceremony cum Caregivers’ Retreat was held on 4 September 2021 at Jao Tsung-I Academy to kick-off the project and provide a relaxing and healing day for the elderlies and caregivers.

Event Highlights:
Mr David LIAO, Group Managing Director and Co-Chief Executive of HSBC Asia Pacific and Dr. Shum Chi Wang MH, Chairman of Agency for Volunteer Service, officiated the ceremony with three partner organizations, Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association (AKA), Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council (NAAC) and Rare Disease Hong Kong (RDHK).
The guests, the volunteers from HSBC and AVS, together with the beneficiaries gathered to officially launch the project.
