“The Hong Kong Volunteer Award Ceremony and Forum 2025” was successfully held on 9 and 10 January, 2026. More than 46,000 awards were presented across various categories, including the Volunteer Hours Series and Outstanding Series. The event also introduced the title of “Top Ten Outstanding Volunteers” and a new award for “Youth Uniformed Groups Volunteer Award (Volunteer Hours)” to honour outstanding volunteers, youth volunteers/groups, corporations, non-commercial organisations, housing estates, and schools, recognising their dedicated contributions to society. Volunteers — Selfless dedication, contributions to society, and an important force in promoting social harmony! Understanding national history is the responsibility of every citizen. On 26 November 2025, a devastating fire accident at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po caused severe casualties and grief across the city. The Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS) extends its deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragedy.
